Design A T-shirt for HPFF:

• In honor of our 5th year, we are hosting a “Design The Next HPFF T-shirt” contest.
• We are inviting artists, both local and from around the globe, to help us commemorate FIVE years of thought-provoking film, events and discussion.
• Our t-shirt designs have always been a big hit with HPFF supporters.
• Over the years, we’ve worked with a number of artists who have created beautiful and powerful imagery to help promote the HPFF vision. This year, YOU could be the talented artist who designs this important milestone.
• It’s simple. Create a design that highlights HPFF’s 5 year anniversary and incorporates the themes of: Hope, Peaceful Resistance, and/or Unity/Solidarity.
• Submit all entries here.

• Submissions will be accepted up until 5 pm on March 25, 2011.
• Winner will be announced at the HPFF Fundraising Party on April 3, 2011 at Fitzgerald’s.

Join the Houston Palestine Film Festival at Boheme for Spacetaker’s Cultured Cocktails on March 3, 2011. Enjoy a laid back evening of cocktails and networking with some of the organizers of this award-winning film festival. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Houston Palestine Film Festival. Come by, have a drink and say hi!

Raise a glass to the arts at Spacetaker’s Cultured Cocktails. Every Thursday, Spacetaker and Boheme host a different local arts group. At this special happy hour, get up close and personal with the artists that make Houston unique. Even better, a portion of the proceeds from the event benefits the artists. Join us at Boheme located at 307 Fairview from 5-10 p.m. every Thursday.

WHY:  CELEBRATE FIVE YEARS OF AWARD-WINNING PROGRAMMING AND DIALOUGE WITH HPFF

Houston (January 10, 2011) – The Houston Palestine Film Festival is thrilled to announce that we are celebrating FIVE years of successful film festival programming in 2011. And our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, Houston!  In 2009, HPFF was awarded the Best Film Festival of 2009 title by the Houston Press. In 2010, it was all of our kind and generous supporters, like you, that helped us win the audience award for Best Local Film Festival.

We have sincerely enjoyed these past four years, and look forward to providing attendees with another year of captivating film and engaging discussion. And it wouldn’t be a film festival without a party or two, so be sure to check our Facebook page and Twitter stream from time to time to keep up with what we’ve got in store. We’ll also be announcing some fun projects via our Website so be sure to bookmark us!

Most importantly: SAVE THE DATE! The Houston Palestine Film Festival is scheduled for May 13-14 at Rice Cinema and May 20-21 at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
